and some explosions...

Mommy went back to school this week to make up some clinic time missed last quarter. It has been a bit more stressful as she has a few more restrictions and PPE requirements in order to work with patients and even be in the class with other students. She also was working on the thing that has her most nervous. GIVING INJECTIONS! Before practicing on student partners later in the week, all the students attended the mandatory "INJECT A HOT DOG DAY!!!" The instructors make it fun!!!

Mr. Hot Dog was her 1st patient and had no complaint.

It is funny... she is more afraid of giving one than I have ever seen someone about to receive one. All went well for the week. She gave a total of 5 shots last week!!!

Even with the fairly full week it was nice that we could break away for a quick trip out to one of the local parks around Merwin Lake for a hike to a water fall and a swim in the cold water. Merwin happens to be the given name of one of Millie Monster's stuffed animals so it was a very special trip with the crazy puppy monkey hybrid thing they toted around.

Sorry, Melissa would not let me post any pictures from the beach even though it was beautiful (because she happens to be in every one).

Independence Day was celebrated doing something in a very Yankee fashion. What could be more appropriate than gathering with friends against the mandate of an oppressive head of state to celebrate our freedom from unwanted government interference? As a little back story our State Gov. dictated that everyone should observe a stay at home order especially during 4th of July festivities. We on the other hand were invited to some new found friend's place for an Independence Day BBQ and little civil disobedience was in order. We kept the spirit of the law by not infringing on others rights during our mostly peaceful assembly but things were getting close to violence during our heated croquette game.

By the time we headed home the sky was a 360 degree artillery show. One of the neighbors told us that the firework stands were completely sold out in the county and it is my theory most of them ended up in our neighborhood. I actually think it is really cool because I hate burning my own money but love seeing the results of others do it.

May we trust in God to continue to to bless this free land.

I think that giving myself a shot would be worst than giving one to someone else. Glad you can be back in class!! We need to see the kids - they are getting big!!
