January in review...
2 birthdays last month. Zach and Millie. Zach enjoyed his corn dog dinner with Jello. Millie wanted fruitloops for her birthday dinner but we eventually swapped that idea for McDonald's and she insisted on having a purple cake with fruit-loops on it. Zachery wanted a rainbow-chip cake with sprinkles. Thank goodness it is easy to please them right now.
Daddy made a quick trip to Chicago for meetings and to attend a retirement party for 3 guys I have known for a while. The baby boomers are all packing out and it was interesting to see how they reflected more on the important things during their exit than profits and margins. The mighty dollar doesn't mean that much at the end of the day.
Started working on the plane again.. I learned a trick on how to get progress...If I invite a friend to come and help I seem to get less interruptions out in the garage. Thanks Rex for being my excuse to be excused.
Marshall competed in his second pine wood derby last week. He came in dead last but had fun building the car. Daddy didn't do it for him (unlike the race winners) and he won best paint job with Mommy's help. He got a dingdong as a metal for competing and that was great for him.
Daddy went on his last Scout activity. They call it Klondike but it was pretty wet for full on winter activities. (snow this season has been pathetic). The mighty Flying Squirrels competed with 30 other troops. We came in with one of the best scores on the egg fry...the only competition with fire involved...the little pyros did me proud.

We have been having the missionaries over to have a friend taught the discussions. It's nice for Marshall and Zachery to see good examples of Elders. We have enjoyed having the experience and having this set in our home.
Mommy and I got a date Friday night. Olive Garden (thanks Mom and Dad for the gift cards) FredMyers for additional Andes mints because our waiter only gave us 1 each :( and watched the movie Intersteller. It's a little slow but has some cool concepts in it.
