So life has been a bit busy and we have plenty of excuses for not posting but it is now time to catch-up.
Over the last few weeks we have done some pretty fun things and stuff has gotten pretty excitin' with some major changes just around the corner.
A few weeks ago we took the pop-up trailer to Ellensburg and the kids chased piglets and Jamie's chickens around Terry's farm before they enjoyed their first rodeo, got sun burnt, and basically swarmed a bunch of ESI friends there during an overdue "retirement" sendoff for the best boss I have had yet. Dr. Z was in tow and I really have enjoyed the whole weekend. I kind-of culminated the 7 years of working for this group and I concluded that although I will miss seeing them as often as I use to, it is going to be nicer to keep up with them personally without work in the way.
The kid's favorite event at the rodeo was the wild cow milking contest...they laughed so hard at grown men chasing a cow for a squirt of milk..
The day after we made it back from the rodeo we sold our house...We had nearly given up on trying to sell it ourselves but then we got home and had 5 phone calls from agents and individuals wishing to view it. A day later we had several parties make offers at the same time and it sold for more than we were expecting. We
hope the family that moves in on Oct 9th likes it as much as we have. We
were taken care of well here.
We have moved the majority of
our stuff into a storage unit and the little bit of work left is all doable now. We are going to miss this place and the friends that we have made here but we feel we are going in the right direction.
We
found a new place to call home and a fun new job is solid now for daddy. It is an hour away from Renton and is a bit out
of the city lights. We will start moving into the new place on
the 5th and we are super grateful things are working out. The kids are excited for the brand new house and Mommy is looking forward to having weekends and nights back again now that we will not need to work on the house. I am sure I can find some projects that will keep us busy though...backyard pool, play area, roller coaster...just kidding...
The same weekend we found the new house we went to an event in Seattle called "Makerfaire"..It is excusable if you have never heard of it but if you have a chance to attend one we would highly recommend it.

The kids had a lot of fun looking at 3D printers, laser cutters and engravers, robots of all sorts, electronic projects, programming exhibits, and all the creative gadgets people came up with of the DIY nature. Makerfaire is like an open source science fair for adults. It is usually presented as an interactive event geared for kids and the general public. It was lots of fun and Marshall now wants to build a robot for real.
.
One of the nice things about the new house is that because we are purchasing it in a completed state we should have some time for fun projects together as a family like the crazy things that Marshall and Daddy get hooked into.
Madison had a birthday recently too. She wanted to go to Old Country Buffet and a pinata to smack...She received that and more...Thank you grand and great grand parents for the cards. We had to tell her to settle down a bit so we could get a decent picture of her not looking crazy...silly Scunner..
Just yesterday after a pretty full day of moving stuff out of the house she also learned to ride her bike without training wheels. She was so excited when she took off on her own without help...We were pretty proud of her too. She is a good girl, growing up too quick somedays for us to keep up with...
Today was the last day in the Benson Hill ward. Daddy works 4 more days at ESI. Time is winding down for our adventures in Renton...here comes the next ones!
