Happy...

Thing II lost his first tooth yesterday. It was "O" for anyone who knows their way around the mandibular arch. I was just surprised he lost it from natural causes with as rough as this kid lives. More than one person has threatened to relieve him of some of his dental hardware but Mommy was the one to actually make it happen this time.
Friday night the family was returning from a hardware run for the kitchen project (still a mess but getting much better) and Thing II said loudly "I wish we could go to McDonalds." to which Daddy replied "Wishing for something doesn't mean it will happen"... 15 minutes later Daddy was watching Mommy and Thing II round the corner to place their order for burgers and fries. Thing II met a friend while Mommy and he were ordering our food named Happy who had just placed his order. Thing II asked Mommy if he could get a gift card (I didn't think he even knew what they were for before now) and Happy insisted on putting 15$ on it so Thing II "could eat out whenever he wanted". That and he gave him a handful of dollar coins to "fill his piggy bank" all because evidently Happy "liked to do this kind of thing all the time". Mommy was embarrassed at the whole encounter and relayed the story of this nice man to Daddy after they got the food order and returned to the table. Daddy was clearly wrong about wishes.

Mommy was just singing here new favorite song "The foolish man bought his his house by the ravine" (all in good fun of course...gerrrr.). Read last weeks post if you missed the little landslide issue but luckily the house has not been swallowed by the nothingness yet. I have formulated a brilliant plan to stop the undermining problem. I call it "The wise man threw some tires in the hole!". It sounds pretty redneck but it has some scientific merit.

Little Bird 3 is 7 months now, Spring is here...time flies when you have so many projects and kids you don't have time to think.
