The house is on craigslist but we have yet to put it on the MLS. We took pictures last weekend to do do it but I am dragging my feet a little. Look at these before and after shots...
We learned something from some of the houses we viewed in the city we are moving to. We spent a lot of time looking at online data and pictures before hitting the road and we were really excited about some of the houses. What we found was a little less exciting.
Pictures may be worth 1000 words but they still can tell only part of the story. Sometimes the stories are little exaggerations, once in a wile they can be a little self depreciating but more often than not in real estate they seem to be just bold faced lies. (To be as truthful as possible I must admit that the mess in the nice photo above is just outside of the camera angle.)
We are not the only ones in the family moving. Aunt C and Uncle T had a garage sale this weekend and we scored a Pizza Stone. We have not had one for several years now but I was on a 24 hour mission to make the best homemade pizza possible. My quest revealed these guarded secrets from the pizza world:
- 500+ degree oven, a baking stone, and a peel are the hardware requirements,
- Use High Gluten Flour, not AP
- Replace Semolina for that nasty cornmeal for the final dough prep
- Hand stretch that dough. Don't use a rolling pin because it will kill the texture.
